Give

Somebody paid for the second chance you got.

Change Course costs a Leader nothing. It costs somebody something. Giving here funds training, certifications, coaching, and a Monday-night dinner that keeps people in the room.

Where it goes

What your gift actually buys

We don’t run campaigns, thermometers, or deadlines. This is the running cost of walking people from setback to career.

Certifications

CDL school, CNA testing, and trade pre-apprenticeship fees, paid in full so no Leader carries debt out of here.

Coaching

The people who make this work. Weekly one-on-ones for 16 weeks, then alumni support after.

Monday dinners

Forty people, every week, for 16 weeks. The cheapest line item and the one nobody would skip.

Barrier removal

Bus passes, work boots, an ID replacement, a car repair. Small money that stops people from quitting.

Ways to give

Most needed

Give monthly

Predictable support is what lets us promise a Leader 16 weeks. Any amount, cancel any time.

Give once

A one-time gift, whenever it makes sense for you. Tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

Sponsor a Leader

Underwrite one person’s entire 16 weeks: training, certification, coaching, and dinners. We’ll tell you how it went.

Corporate giving

Sponsor a track, match employee gifts, or pair giving with hiring. Most of our best partners do both.

Checks & stock

Mail a check to 1912 6th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50314. For stock, DAF, or IRA distributions, call us and we’ll walk you through it.

of expenses are people

Personnel is our largest line, and we’d defend it anywhere. Lasting change needs consistent, personal support: one-on-one coaching, daily care, someone who notices when a Leader goes quiet.

Every November

Night of Hope

Our one fundraising night of the year, with graduates, Allies, employers, and donors in one room. Come next fall and see the work up close.

Our annual report lays out program outcomes and finances. We hold Candid’s Platinum Transparency seal because we’d rather you check than take our word for it.
