The Program

A career takes more than a certificate.

So we built the whole loop: rebuild the foundation, earn the credential, land the job, then come back and hold the door for the next person. That’s the Cycle of Community.

PHASE 01

Personal Development

Seven weeks before a single certificate, on mindset, financial health, conflict, communication, and professionalism. These are the things that make a job last past month three.

100+ hours
1:1 coaching weekly
PHASE 02

Career Skills Track

A professional certificate or pre-apprenticeship in the track a Leader chooses, taught by accredited partners rather than by us pretending to be them.

Up to 35 life and career skills
Curriculum built from what employers ask for
PHASE 03

Career Launch

Mock interviews, resume work, and warm introductions to employer partners who already know the program. Coaches work the search alongside each Leader.

A credential employers ask for
PHASE 04

Graduation & Commission

Graduation is a commissioning. We send graduates out to do something for their own community, just as this one did for them, and a large share come back to help lead the next class.

Monday nights

Family Gathering

Every Monday, 6 to 8, everyone eats together: Leaders, Coaches, Allies, alumni, and families. It is the most protected thing on our calendar.

Allies commit to all 16 weeks of it, because Leaders keep track of who comes back.

Elective

Spiritual development, if you want it

Transformation involves the whole person, including the inner life. Alongside personal development, Leaders may take an optional Christian faith-based course on the mind, will, and emotions, with space to work on purpose, identity, healing, and hope.

It is genuinely optional. Taking it or skipping it has no bearing on a Leader’s spot or certificate.

75%+

of Leaders chose to take the elective in 2025.

From the inside

What the last class said

Four of our 2025 graduates, in their own words.

“After my first week at Change Course, I fell in love with the program. We work with people who have a story, who understand us, and who don’t judge us. Change Course is my doorway into a successful life.”

Pita · 2025 graduate

“Today I am sober. Today I am still fighting for my family. I have hope again, I know my why, and I wake up every day choosing to be happy.”

Bejay · 2025 graduate

“Change Course is helping me step out of my shell little by little. It’s teaching me that not everyone is like the people who hurt me — some people really do want to see you win.”

Destiny · 2025 graduate

“For a long time, I believed I was nothing. I didn’t know how to be a father, how to be a man, or how to do anything but survive. But I’m learning that my story has a purpose.”

Dustin · 2025 graduate
